Jessie grew up in a suburb of Detroit,
Michigan and attended Biola University
in Southern California. She received her
BSN in Nursing and is currently
Practicing as a Registered Nurse at
Children’s Hospital Los Angeles while
she pursues her Masters in Nursing at
UCLA. Matt grew up in the small town
of Ripon, California. He attended
Calpoly San Luis Obispo University
and received a degree in Mechanical
Engineering. He is currently working
as an engineer at Swales Aerospace in
Pasadena, California.

Matt has two sisters and one brother.
His older sister Melanie  attended Biola
University where she was assigned to
be lab partners with Jessie in 1999.
Melanie and  Jessie became instant
friends and developed a bond that felt
like sisterhood. In the spring of 2000
Melanie brought Jessie on a Mexico
Missions trip with her home church and
introduced her to her brother Matt. Jessie
thought Matt was quit a babe and Matt
thought Jessie was the prettiest girl he
had ever seen.  Nothing developed of
this initial attraction for four years.
During that time Jessie became the
adopted/honorary daughter of the Meyers
family. In the spring of 2004 Matt moved
down to Southern California to complete
an engineering internship. He did not
know many people in Southern California
so he made several attempts to call Jessie
offering to hang out.  Jessie was reluctant
to accept his offer because she knew Matt
was a flirt by nature and she could potentially fall hard for him. It’s a good thing Jessie finally returned Matt’s phone call.

Matt and Jessie fell into a relationship and
developed a love for each other that they
knew was unlike any they would ever know.
They dated for over a year and a half before
Matt proposed and they are excited to journey through life together.
